Training for the Race of Life.....Day 74 (Live Strong....Live Thankful)

Training for the Race of Life……Day 74 (A Normal Day)
God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Normal days have been very rare lately but today was just simply a normal day.  It is said that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, well today was a beautiful day to me.  I felt extremely blessed.  Blessed by my church, blessed by my family, blessed by my friends, blessed to have a normal day.  Today was a blessing from God.
But in reality they all are aren’t they?  We’ve all seen the bumper sticker that says “today is a gift that is why they call it the present.”  And in reality it is.  We can’ t change the past, we should anticipate the future, but we must live in the present.  Realizing that everyday really is a gift from God and because of that we should live it to the fullest.  Being thankful everyday for all that God does for us and just simply for allowing us to be alive.
Today was nothing special as far as running goes.  I think I got in around 6 miles or a little more, but it was special just getting to run.  Special just simply being alive.  We are immensely blessed and sometimes we take it all for granted.  At the start of the race the starter says, “on your mark, get set, GO!”  Well every morning, our alarm clock (or however we wake up) should be our starter, that beckons us - on your mark, get set, GO.  Live today to the fullest and be thankful for whatever the day brings.  Thankful to the God who has blessed you so much who allows you to call Him Father, thankful for the people that enrich your lives.
So live thankfully.  On your mark, get set, GO!  Run with Jesus and run thankfully.  Nike says: “Live Strong” - I say a way to do that is to “Live Thankful”.
